Where They Differ

This is where the Traverse tells you more. PING publishes 15 pockets and 33 liters of total pocket volume, plus a dedicated rangefinder pocket with its own dividers, a front slip pocket for your scorecard, and duplicate putter wells. That last detail means two slots for a putter rather than one. Cobra publishes no pocket count at all, so the gap in documented storage could be narrow or wide; there's no way to know from what Cobra publishes.
The Cobra does have three full-length dividers among its 14 slots, which stops clubs tangling from grip to head on those three lanes. PING doesn't say whether any of the Traverse's dividers run full length — so you can't call that one a win either direction.

That's not the same as saying it doesn't — but if cart integration matters, the Traverse is the only one that confirms it.

Six pounds versus 6.26. On a cart, that quarter-pound difference is essentially nothing — it's going to sit on a trolley either way. If you're lifting the bag in and out of your trunk several times a week, you'll notice it eventually, but it's not a reason to choose between these two.
Cooler pocket
Cobra describes its cooler pocket as oversized. PING lists an insulated pocket too, but doesn't publish its size. If you want to know which one fits four cans and a water bottle, Cobra's "oversized" label is at least a signal; PING's listing doesn't say.
Who Should Buy Which
Get the PING Traverse if:
- You use a push cart and want a bag that integrates cleanly — cart strap channel included, confirmed in the spec sheet.
- You want to know exactly what storage you're getting — 15 pockets, 33 liters, scorecard pocket, rangefinder pocket with dividers.
- You have two putters in the bag or regularly switch and want a slot for each.
- You're buying close to list and the $5 difference is genuinely irrelevant.

- The oversized cooler pocket is a real priority — you carry drinks for the group or play in heat where a bigger insulated pocket matters.

Two close cart bags at almost identical prices. The Traverse documents more: cart strap integration, a known pocket count, dual putter wells, and a rangefinder slot. The Cobra has an oversized cooler pocket and confirmed full-length dividers on three channels, and it costs a few dollars less at list.
