Par and Peg is reader-supported. When you click a link on our site and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you. This is how we keep the site running.

What that actually means

We participate in affiliate programs with golf retailers and equipment brands. We currently work with Amazon Associates. As the site grows, we plan to add partnerships through additional networks including CJ Affiliate, Impact, and ShareASale. The retailers we link to most often include Amazon, Golf Galaxy, Global Golf, and direct-to-consumer brands like Bushnell, Callaway, and TaylorMade through their authorized retailer programs.

When you click one of our links and make a purchase within the retailer's tracking window (usually 24 hours to 60 days, depending on the retailer), we receive a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay does not change.

How we keep it honest

A few principles we hold ourselves to:

• We recommend products we'd actually consider for our own bags. A higher commission doesn't get a product a higher recommendation. We'd rather recommend something we believe in for a small commission than push something dubious for a big one.
• Spec data and prices come from manufacturer sources and authorized retailers, not our own claims. When we compare two products, we cite the actual published specs.
• We disclose this relationship on every page that contains affiliate links. Look for a small “Affiliate disclosure” notice near the top of comparison pages.
• We don't accept payment for favorable reviews. If we ever start accepting sponsored content (we currently don't), it will be clearly labeled as sponsored.
• We don't manipulate rankings. Our comparison pages reflect the data we have on each product. The order isn't influenced by which retailer pays us more.
