Privacy Policy

Par and Peg (“we,” “our,” or “the site”) is operated from Connecticut, United States. This policy explains what data we collect from visitors, why, and what your rights are. We've tried to write it in plain English instead of legalese.

What we collect

Automatically (via our hosting and analytics):

• Standard server logs from our hosting provider (Vercel), including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These are used for security, performance monitoring, and detecting abuse.
• Aggregate traffic statistics via Vercel Analytics — page views, page load speeds, geographic regions. This data is anonymized and not tied to individual users.

When you click an affiliate link:

• The destination retailer (Amazon, Golf Galaxy, etc.) may set their own cookies on your browser to track that you came from our site. This is governed by the retailer's privacy policy, not ours.

When you contact us:

• If you email us at hello@parandpeg.com, we'll have your email address and whatever you sent us, retained for as long as needed to respond.

What we don't collect

• We don't run user accounts. There's nothing to sign up for.
• We don't currently run a newsletter. If we add one, this policy will be updated and signup will be opt-in only.
• We don't currently run display advertising. If we add it, this policy will be updated to disclose ad networks used.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• We don't use third-party tracking scripts beyond the analytics noted above.

Cookies

Par and Peg uses minimal cookies, primarily for site functionality and aggregate analytics. Affiliate links from our site may set tracking cookies controlled by the destination retailer — these allow them to credit us with referrals and are governed by the retailer's own privacy practices.

You can disable or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so won't break the site but may affect how affiliate referrals are tracked.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data:

If you're in the European Union or United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR):
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. Since we collect minimal personal data (server logs and email correspondence), most rights are easy to exercise — email hello@parandpeg.com and we'll respond promptly.

If you're in California (CCPA / CPRA):
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of any “sale” of personal information. We don't sell personal information. To make a request, email hello@parandpeg.com.

If you're elsewhere:
You can still email us at hello@parandpeg.com with any privacy concerns and we'll address them.

Children's privacy

Par and Peg is intended for adults shopping for golf equipment. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (under 16 in the EU). If we learn that we have, we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
