Get the Fiberbuilt Grass Series Studio 7×4. At $50 more at list, you get 25 extra inches of mat length, a spacer section sized for an optical launch monitor, and a modular rubber foundation that locks together tool-free with easy-lock fasteners. The Traditional 5×4 is worth considering only if space is genuinely tight and you have no need for a launch monitor spacer — but at a $50 gap, the Studio buys you meaningfully more mat for not much more money.
Both mats use the same 1 ft × 4 ft Fiberbuilt Grass hitting panel with four tee holes, back the panel with Performance Turf, and carry the same 300,000-shot guarantee. Both ship with a 2-inch-range rubber tee and a friction-fit real-tee holder. Both share the same warranty structure: one year on the turf, five years on the rubber base. And both note that the Adjustable Tees the panel is designed for are temporarily discontinued.
The Studio 7×4 measures 85 in × 49 in. The Traditional 5×4 measures 60 in × 48 in. That 25-inch length difference is the whole story here. The Studio gives you seven feet of front-to-back surface versus five. Fiberbuilt doesn't publish a thickness for the Traditional 5×4, so if you're choosing partly because a floor-standing launch monitor needs a known surface height, the Studio 7×4 is the only one with a published figure: 2 inches.
The Studio 7×4 includes a 2 ft × 4 ft spacer panel explicitly sized for an optical launch monitor. The Traditional 5×4 has no such section. If you're running an optical launch monitor, the Studio's layout accounts for it. The Traditional makes no mention of it.
The Studio uses a modular rubber foundation with tool-free easy-lock fasteners. The Traditional uses a one-piece solid rubber foundation. My read is that one-piece is the simpler of the two: it arrives as a single unit, with nothing to lock together. Neither is objectively better; it depends on whether your bay is likely to evolve.
Both mats ship with a rubber tee, but the Traditional's product page lists its included tee as 2.265 in where every other Grass Series listing says 2.625 in. Nothing in the listings settles which one is accurate — but it's worth knowing before you buy extra tees.

Both mats share the same hitting panel, the same guarantee, and the same warranty terms. The $50 gap at list is almost nothing compared to what you're spending either way. The Studio 7×4 is longer, includes a launch monitor spacer, and publishes its thickness — that's three concrete things the Traditional doesn't offer. The Traditional's one-piece foundation is genuinely simpler, and if five feet is all you've got, that's that. But if you have the room, there's no case for leaving 25 inches of mat on the table for $50.
