Get the T11 LT. For $50 less, you get a wrist-worn GPS watch with automatic shot tracking, green undulation, slope compensation, and 27 holes of battery life — no subscription required. The GeneSonic Pro is a different product for a different job: it's a cart speaker first, GPS handheld second. If you routinely ride and want music blasting from your cart, the Pro makes sense. If you just want capable GPS yardages, the T11 LT does more for less.
Both run on GPS, preload over 40,000 courses with free updates, require no subscription, include green views, hazard distances, full-color hole maps, shot tracking, and scoring. Both charge via USB (the Pro on USB-C, the T11 LT on USB 2.0). Neither has heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, or smartwatch notifications.
This is the fundamental split. The GeneSonic Pro is a 40-watt cart speaker with a detachable GPS handheld. The T11 LT also has slope compensation. It adjusts yardages in real-time based on elevation — plays-like distance effectively built into the number on your wrist. The Pro shows front/centre/back distances and hazard callouts, but no slope adjustment. On hilly courses, that gap matters.
The T11 LT tracks shots automatically, including putts, and scores your round without you prompting it. The Pro requires manual input with smart score prompts. Neither approach is wrong — some golfers like the control of marking their own shots — but automatic tracking is the less interruptive workflow when you're in the middle of a hole.
The T11 LT is rated for 27 holes in golf mode and 10 days as a watch. The Pro's GPS handheld is rated at approximately 4.5 hours at maximum brightness — closer to 18 holes depending on screen usage. The speaker itself runs up to 15 hours at 50% volume, roughly three rounds. If you're running both simultaneously, the GPS side runs out first.
The T11 LT is $249.99. The GeneSonic Pro is $299.99. The $50 price gap understates what you're getting with each product because they're solving different problems. The Pro bundles GPS with a high-output speaker; the T11 LT bundles GPS with green contours, slope, and automatic tracking. The GeneSonic Pro is a solid product, and MyGolfSpy named it their top golf speaker of 2026 for good reason. But "best speaker" and "best GPS" aren't the same award.
