Both are stand bags with four full-length dividers, a dual strap, and stand legs. Both list under $400 and target golfers who walk at least some of their rounds. The 4-way top design is the same count, and both bags handle club organization the same way — four slots, grips separated, a missing club visible at the top.
Where They Differ
Weight
This is the biggest gap. The H2NO lists at 4 lbs. The Stitch lists at 5.5 lbs — and Stitch notes that figure excludes the strap, with no with-strap weight published. The actual carry weight of the Stitch is higher than 5.5 by some amount; we just don't know how much. A pound and a half is the minimum gap, and it's probably wider than that. Half a pound doesn't sound like much until it's the back nine in August. A pound and a half is a different conversation entirely over 18 holes.
Weather Protection
The H2NO is waterproof — H2NO fabric, seam-sealed zippers, matching rain hood included. The Stitch uses STITCH Touring Fabric that's water and stain resistant, not waterproof, and no rain hood is included. On a dry day this doesn't matter. On a wet one, the H2NO is genuinely a different bag.
Top and Storage
The Stitch has the larger top: 8 in × 10 in versus the H2NO's 7.5 in. With the same 4-way divider count, that extra room means clubs sit a bit looser in each slot — a small convenience when you're reaching in fast.
On storage, the Stitch has specifics the H2NO doesn't: a magnetic ball pocket that holds 12 balls, an insulated water bottle pocket, and a felt-lined valuables pocket. Stitch doesn't publish a total pocket count, though, so we can't call it more or less pocketed than the H2NO's stated 8. Sun Mountain publishes the 8-pocket count; Stitch doesn't publish one. The H2NO does include a velour-lined rangefinder pocket and a velour-lined valuables pocket. Sun Mountain doesn't say whether the H2NO has an insulated pocket.

Who Should Buy Which
Get the Sun Mountain H2NO E-2.5 if:
- You walk in variable weather and want a bag you don't have to think about when it rains
- You're carrying 18 holes regularly and every pound matters — 4 lbs empty, with a rain hood, at $350 list
- You want a known pocket count and a dedicated velour rangefinder pocket
Get the Stitch SL2 Gen 2 if:
- You play in reliably dry conditions and waterproofing isn't a factor you care about
- The magnetic ball pocket holding 12 balls and the insulated bottle sleeve fit how you carry and organize your round
- You prefer the larger 8 in × 10 in top opening and are willing to pay more and carry more for it
The Bottom Line
The H2NO weighs less, lists for less, and keeps your gear dry. The Stitch has a bigger top opening and more specific storage features, but it lists higher, weighs more by at least a pound and a half (possibly more, since the published figure excludes the strap), and it's not waterproof. A 4-way with a rain hood included versus a 4-way without one, at $48 less, is an easy call.
