Golf Launch Monitor Gifts Under $1,000 (2026)
A launch monitor is the present a golfer will not buy themselves, and under $1,000 there is now a real choice rather than a compromise.
The catch is software: several of these need a paid plan before they will play a course, so every card quotes the maker's subscription position as the catalogue records it. The order is each product's record in the comparisons we have already published.
How we rankOrdered by how often each product won the head-to-head comparisons published on this site, with ties going to the lower list price. We do not test products by hand and nothing here is scored by hand. How we compare products.

Common questions
- Do launch monitors need a subscription?
- Several do before they will play a simulated course, and some need nothing at all. It is the most consequential thing to check before giving one, so each card quotes the maker's position word for word rather than summarising it.
- Do any of them need special balls or club stickers?
- Some do. Where the catalogue records that a model needs its own marked balls or stickers on the clubs, the card says so — those are consumables the recipient will have to keep buying.
- How is this list ordered?
- By each product's record in the head-to-head comparisons published on this site. We count only comparisons between two products of the same kind, and only those where the article names one of the two as its recommendation. Ties go to the lower list price.
