The S44 is the better watch for most golfers — bigger AMOLED screen, touchscreen navigation, and full-color hole maps for $100 more. But the S12 has a genuinely weird party trick: 30 hours of GPS battery life and 70-day watch mode. If you're playing multiple rounds on a single charge or traveling without easy charging access, that gap matters more than you'd think. For everyday golfers who charge their watch nightly, the S44 is the clear step up.
