Get the SIGPRO Softy 4×7. It's $200 more at list, but you get a replaceable hitting strip, real-tee compatibility, and a mat that's two feet longer underfoot. The SIGPRO Commercial Teeline 4×5 makes sense if your launch monitor needs uninterrupted Teeline turf across the entire surface to read shots accurately — that's the one case where the full-surface design earns its place over the strip-based layout.
Both mats come from SIGPRO, both use Teeline turf as the hitting surface, and they're within an eighth of an inch of each other on thickness. Neither carries a published warranty from The Indoor Golf Shop. They're the same 48 inches wide.
The Softy 4×7 runs 84 inches long; the Commercial Teeline 4×5 runs 60 inches long. That's two feet of extra stance room, which matters if you're a taller golfer or you're running a wider setup. The width is identical at 48 inches.
The bigger layout difference is how the hitting area is arranged. The Teeline 4×5 is a full-surface mat — you hit from anywhere on it. The Softy 4×7 is offset: there's a dedicated 28 × 12-inch hitting strip built into one side, with stance turf and space beside it. That space beside the strip is where a floor-standing launch monitor would sit.
This is where the two mats diverge most. The Softy's strip is replaceable — when it wears out, you swap it rather than replacing the whole mat. The Teeline 4×5 has no strip at all; when the high-impact zone wears, the whole surface is the wear zone.
The Softy's strip also takes a real tee at any height. The Teeline 4×5's page never actually says the turf accepts a tee — a meaningful silence if you're planning to hit woods off a proper tee.
One thing worth flagging: The Indoor Golf Shop's own pages give the Softy strip's height three different ways — 2⅜ in, 2½ in and 2⅝ in. The published thickness difference between the two mats is 0.125 in — 2⅜ in on the Teeline against 2½ in on the Softy — so the Softy's own conflicting strip figures cover more ground than the gap itself. If that spec matters to your setup, it's worth contacting The Indoor Golf Shop directly before ordering.
The Softy 4×7 weighs 21 lbs and breaks into two pieces for storage. The Teeline 4×5 doesn't have a published weight. For a mat that ships LTL freight, that's a real gap in the published information.

The $200 price gap doesn't tell the whole story here. The Softy 4×7 gives you a replaceable strip, real-tee compatibility, two more feet of mat, and a known weight. The Teeline 4×5's full-surface design is a legitimate reason to choose it — but only if your launch monitor actually needs that continuous coverage. For most home-bay setups, the strip you can replace is worth more than the money you'd save.
