Get the SIGPRO Softy 4×7. It's 36 inches shorter, 10 lbs lighter, breaks into two pieces for storage, and lists for $200 less — and you get the exact same hitting strip. The 4×10 earns its extra length if you're running a launch monitor that sits on the mat beside the hitting strip, and your floor has room for 10 feet of mat. Otherwise the 4×7 does the same job for less.
Both are 48 inches wide, 2.5 inches thick, and built around the same SIGPRO Softy hitting strip — 1-inch Teeline turf over a soft foam insert with ABS polyurethane and three compression slots underneath. Both strips are replaceable and take a real tee at adjustable height. Both are made in the USA. Neither carries a published warranty.
The 4×10 runs 120 inches long; the 4×7 runs 84 inches. Same width, same thickness, 36 inches of extra stance-and-monitor area is the whole difference. That adds 10 lbs — the 4×10 at 31 lbs, the 4×7 at 21 lbs. The 4×7 breaks into two pieces for storage, which matters if the mat is coming out only when you're hitting and the floor has another job the rest of the time.
Both mats position the hitting strip offset to one side, leaving the rest of the mat as stance and monitor space. The 4×7 gives you 84 inches of length to split between your stance and the monitor; the 4×10 gives you 120. If your launch monitor needs more room than the 4×7 leaves beside the strip, the 4×10 is the answer. If it fits beside you on the shorter mat, you're paying $200 for length you won't use.
Both mats are 2.5 inches thick, so whatever step your monitor has to deal with, it's the same either way.
The 4×7 lists at $999.99; the 4×10 lists at $1,199.99. That $200 gap is the whole trade-off in cash terms. Same strip, same turf, same construction — you're buying floor coverage.
Worth flagging before you buy either one: SIGPRO's own product pages aren't consistent about the strip height. The 4×7 listing gives three different figures across its pages — 2⅜ in, 2½ in, and 2⅝ in. The 4×10's page gives its own strip height as 2⅜ in, against the 4×7's 2½ in. They may all be rounding the same measurement differently, but I'd contact The Indoor Golf Shop before ordering if strip height matters for your launch monitor setup.
